Thank you! I took several years off from working with the glass because of the lead while I was raising my kids. James needed me to come back to work with him a few years ago and I'm so happy to work with him again, although it's been a struggle to fit it back into my lifestyle with the kids and animals.Oh my gosh. That place is absolutely gorgeous. Your kidding wow small world. My boss has a place there pretty much walking distance from the chapel. He used to let employees use the home free on weekends he wasn't there. Until someone used his dad's fishing rod and broke it and didn't say anything. It was a great get away. Sometimes I don't get people.
Great job on the stain glass by the way.
HnH Archs??? no freaking way!!![]()
This only happens this much when I incubate, so it's gotta be an incubation issue.

I'm starting to think it's the R-com turning. I have had some hatches, like a recent Serama hatch, that were all malpositioned, but none were in a different bator. They seem to do fine if I prop them up and hand turn them instead. Hopefully yours will do better when you change the air fin so that the air circulates one direction. That would be a nice easy fix.![]()

I'm floored that you know the place! We just did some repairs last year to some of the windows, they were getting rather stressed from that whole gravity thing....

I found the same with the Rcom. Peachicks especially pipping the wrong end.
That area is wicked on homes. I've been back to bosses home several times. Wind driven rain salt air bugs etc as taken its toll. Must say working there is a special experience unlike any I've been in. So quiet. Don't go there if you want to stay busy. Lifestyle there doesn't support busy.![]()
Quote: I think you're right... It would be interesting to do a side-by-side using a duck, the Janoel and the RCOM.

All your thoughts are random, according to multiple reliable sources
I was playin dumb, Ur was referring to another "incident".Sally is certainly NOT an obsessive candler, she actually does not look forward to day 17/18 candles its more bothersome than not. She most times follows the best suggestions based on what makes the most sense to her. Candling can be bad, she has done all the things that have become reasons to let them alone. She doesnt candle unless there is a stink, she needs candle images She candles at lockdown thats when she does this duty, me thinks they actually love her for it She obsesses in other things so much she dont need to obsess on eggs
I did find one Neighbors had it Said I "gave it to them" The kids across the street musta caught her!
I do the same thing, I am niceish to my roos, but one they attack all bets are off. No matter how much I like em, they get kicked... Hard!No need to modify your screen name; modify your rooster's behavior, instead. I also have a single rooster who bears watching, but I refuse to let an animal dictate my movements, unless it wants to make the mortgage paymentsMy guy has tried me, as well as my wife, a few times. I got to where I was half expecting him to do something stupid, so I tried to be prepared. The last time he rushed me I timed it just right & launched him tail-over-tin-cup through the air with a left foot; end of problem...for me, anyway. Not too long afterward he came at my wife; a big mistake. DW happened to be gathering kindling wood at the time, and a small chunk of wood sailing through the air toward Mr. Rooster changed his mind quick....direct hit. He still bears watching, but has, for now anyway, learned a measure of respect for the "hands that feed him". He's going to be replaced this Spring, however, in favor of another, more docile animal, which has already been selected; just a matter of the weather cooperating long enough to go get him. Good luck
Hi Sally! Here's my bator of rocks:
And here's my setup:
So now everyone in your house can see how to keep temps stable in the LG. that giant mess is NOT just for looks. It's very important in keeping the bator insulated and out of drafts.![]()

Eeeeee!!! How adorable!!!!
Hold on a sec, I'll find some links fer you.Hi Kathy, what type of pen are you using to mark AC? Is it a standard "Sharpe". I wanted to use one, but thought it might be toxic to the egg? is it? if not, i will use one with my broody ducks, because when I use pencil the ducks rub off the pencil marks and dates I put on them.
