Hatch some of each, save the shells, wait ''til the chicks are old enough tell what breeds they are, then match the birds up with the shells they came out of. And don't forget pictures!

seriously sorry these guys didnt work out better, I pray you try them upright next hatch and see what happens. I want to try them like I did silkies but have to find some over here first
No worries, I didn't shed a tear over them and I look at it as a learning experience, so no need to feel bad for me or apologize. Tell you what, if ever I'm looking for sympathy, I'll let everyone know.

Like me setting all my eggs pointing in the same direction, and correcting the spacing between them after they've turned a few times? Yeah... I can relate!

What's the number for 911?
The number you have dialed... 911... has been changed to an unlisted number...

I had a heat lamp in with the (3) month olds I put outside; hung up in the peak of the roof so there was no chance of igniting anything. That was in October. Unfortunately, I unplugged the lamb too soon & lost them. They were doing fine 'til then.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to run electricity to this pen. Just trying to get an idea of when I can safely move them out and have them survive on their own. I might be able to stand them being in the basement another week or two... but no longer. I would think 10 week olds shouldn't have a problem dealing with freezing temps. I can't change their bedding out fast enough to keep the odor in the basement down, and I'm really glad my floor has a moisture and vapor barrier in it!!!
