So this morning before i let my chickens into the run Monday (my roo) let me pet him. But it seemed the moment i let him out into the run he became more agressive towards me. Is this normal behavior?

@Sally Sunshine (when you're feeling better) or anyone, I wanted to clarify something you had posted about the position of upright shipped eggs for hatch. (Or anyone else, of course):

"I set my eggs with lowest dip in the aircell up. This position for hatching is good so the chick is able to turn into position and I can easily see my pips too! Setting eggs horizontal in the hatcher actually can aid a chick to hatch 1-2 hours earlier. (HOWEVER, shipped eggs that have had loose air cells or saddle air cells, should be hatched upright but tilted just enough so that the lowest dip is somewhat upright, so if they have fluid in the air cell it may prevent drowning)."

I'm having a hard time visualizing/understanding what is meant by the underlined part, specifically what is meant by "tilted so that the lowest dip is somewhat upright". Does this mean tilted slightly, in the direction AWAY from the lowest dip? (Also, if there is no lowest part of the dip, but all equal, should it just be upright?)

(The threat of drowning the chicks has me wanting to be sure I have this right - I have wiggly ugly saddled air cells... But I have a little while before lock down for these, so no rush.)

yes but you shouldnt have any issues if you seen no fluid in them anymore! or jiggly which typically you dont at day 18
