Last week I cleaned the duck pen and expanded it in the hopes of combining the coops. Until I figured out a ramp to let the ducks into the chicken pen, I kept the adjoining door shut.
I just went to water the gangs, and decided to tear down the strip of wood that keeps the bedding in the chicken pen. Turns out it makes a really good duck ramp! All this trying to figure out a ramp, and it was as simple as a piece of wood I already had in there.

See that piece of wood behind the cinder block? It was that simple!

Lol! Aren't you the one with the messy ducklings in the brooder? The one that said, "sometimes the simplest answers are the least obvious!"?
Nope! That was Country Lovin

But, shouldn't I be keeping the lid on things for the Fighter? Can Hard Hat wait 12 hours? The humidity is still climbing...it's at 82 @Sally Sunshine
I wouldnt take the lid off until everything is hatched. The shell on them isnt going to kill them. You can take it off later. As for the humidity is there a plug you can take out to lower it. From the looks of both chicks its too high. once chicks start to hatch the humidity will always go up.

Just put the other 18 eggs in the hatcher. Had to do it quick seeing how the other 14 that are in there will start hatching today.

Plus I have a guy coming for 22 chicks today and a guy from KY coming for 15 tomorrow. Back to 0 until Monday. Yeah!!
