Good luck!!! I am in the middle of my first hatch. Based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews here, I went with the hovabator too. I had mostly shipped eggs, from two different sources...one (Papa's Poultry @Papa Brooder was incredible, the other- coming all the way from CT, a total disaster (and extremely expensive!))... If they weren't broken, all eggs had detached air cells and some extremely saddled... Then, I got super lucky and discovered@Jessimom lives 2 miles from me! She generously gave me 6 silkie eggs (5 to lockdown- 3 have already hatched!). In total, 28 went to lockdown. It is just now Day 20.5 and 10 are hatched, 5 more pipped and one zipping. The one shown here, zipping, is a Bielefelder whose shell I cracked (and repaired with candle wax) 2 weeks ago!!! We are very pleased with this bator and even more grateful for all the advice here!!! Thank you! @Jessimom @Sally Sunshine
Anybody given you any advice as to how to get that bird off your head?

Good morning everyone. Hope day is going well.

Wife just let me know that she wants me to hatch a few eggs a couple days earlier than the Easter HAL date so that visiting grand kids can see them hatch. Tall order but someone's got to do it right? :lau
Now for the timing part they are going to be here for a couple days before Easter so hopefully the eggs and I get it right.

I'm thinking a dozen of the freshest eggs from TJ ought to fit the bill. :gig

I've also got to change a few things in my coolerbator borrowing a few ideas from Sally. Thanks Sally
