It's just you dont have to really monitor the temps because its all automatic.

the only thing you really have to regulate is the water level

The Hova Bators are better styro units than the others IMO cause they have a really nice plastic water channel liner that is very easy to use.

And clean!

Some of the other units have you pouring the water directly onto the styrofoam!

I always clean my hova with bleach solution and let the suns radiation dry and disinfect it.

Bein as you may not always have that option in ALASKA, you can let it drip dry, make sure the control parts are NOT wet,
and fire it up to dry it out!

You & I have the same 'bator; mine has no plastic liner in the channels. You're saying your's does?
