Congratulations !!!!

Love the puppy pictures Sally and Cynthia.
Strange chicken day:
I was supposed to process the cockerels today but I received a message on an old listing about buying cockerels this morning. I chatted with her a bit. So, processing got postponed (again- I've delayed it three times now), and now I think this person is not going to buy any.
My Wheaten Ameraucana developed a rattle in his respiratory system. I'm monitoring him closely. I added some ACV and Sav-A-Chick probiotics and electrolytes to a couple waterers in the coop.
Princess Pumpkin passed away. I expected this. She stopped growing at 4 weeks old and at 8 weeks old with few feathers was clearly failing to cope with the colder weather, even under a heat lamp with other chicks.
The integration of the Brabanters is going fairly well. Because of these additions I've been very aware of changes in the health of the flock. I worry.
The incubator is running fine. Humidity works. I'm just waiting for some fertile eggs. I'm going to add a couple infertile eggs at some point to test the turning mechanism (again.) I'll post a link to the whole build at some point. I have been writing it up and I'll get some updated pictures.
I recently rehomed a friendly stray/barn cat/kitten. Its twin showed up today. I hope it's just a neighbor cat that was passing through, but it was kinda cute to see it curiously look at the roaming chickens.
So much to worry about, so much to be thankful for.
Hugs to y'all. US chicken lovers: enjoy your holiday. To everyone else: Happy Thursday.

I offer my chickens chopped garlic free choice. never had a cocci issue. never force feed garlic, free choice only! you can sprinkle some feed over it first time you give so that they understand they can eat it.
