@Sally SunshineFINAL update! I might still be shaking... About an hour ago, I texted @Jessimom that the last silkie, whom I had made the pip for this morning, still hadn't done anything and that I was starting to panic... Sure enough, I go back to the bator and she had started zipping. Meanwhile, my daughter lost her first tooth and I got all caught up in that- Hubby and I put her to bed and I ALMOST started the dishes from the game but thought I'd peek at her progress (see totally procrastinate!)... She had stopped chirping and moving. I thought for sure she was DIS... So, like I told Jessimom, I SPRUNG into action!![]()
I nearly had an anxiety attack peelig away the shell. She was "gulping" air but not chirping. Finally I pulled one piece off and she literally exploded herself out the top. She was DRY! I tossed her back in the bator with the warm damp towel I had used for the SEAL team extraction. She is chirping away in there and ditched her "pants" right away... I am pleased to close out my first hatch with having learned more than I even wanted to but super grateful to you all!!! Final count stands at 23/28 that went to lockdown- out of 41.![]()
I could NOT have done it without you crazy chicken people!![]()

I am so happy for you! I go into lockdown with only 2 of the original5 I had set (1 clear and 2 blood rings) tomorrow. I really hope they hatch. This is my second hatch ever and my last was all kinds of screwed up.@Sally SunshineFINAL update! I might still be shaking...
