Didn't think about that. My sis has two baby goats.... Human how can I keep them confined in the front yard. Think Linda think...
When I kept goats I'd run rope through an appropriate length of garden hose, stiffer the better, to keep the rope from tangling so bad around the legs.
Put a heavy snap on each end.
Drive a heavy stake in the ground with a swivel top
Put a nylon dog collar on the goat
Snap one end of the hose to the goat, the other to the stake.
Voila! Instant brush hog!

Hello everyone! I am a first time chick hatcher and need some info. 14 days ago I set 11 eggs from my girls. I candled a couple of days ago and removed 4 that were not fertile. 2 of my eggs are from a rather small americauna hen. As I have been candling I have noticed that those 2 seem to ge growing a bit more quickly and today one of them moved on its own. My plan was to shut off the auto turner on Saturday which would be day 19 but now I don't know what to do about this egg that is already moving...any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I''m not sure what you mean by moving.... if it's just wiggling round in the shell, that is normal. I'd move them all to lock down at the same time. But, I just killed most of my last hatch, so maybe wait for someone else to answer you....

What do you mean by "moved on its own"? I would turn off the turner on day 18 when you put the eggs in lockdown.

Think I'm gonna finally get me an auto turner. Last couple batches I turned 3 times per day. This one I'm turning 5 times, but I'm bad about getting on something else and forgetting. I just hate to throw out the coin. I've been looking at the homemade ones and it seems to be just as cost effective to buy one (not to mention most of the homemade ones didn't work quite right). Not bad turning 8 by hand but for a bigger batch I think I need to go ahead and get one. IDK still going round and round. :barnie

My incubator was over $40, then the turner was over $40 then the fan was almost $40, so $120 later I have a Bator I still can't depend on.. I'm considering buying a good one or making one with a quality thermostat and no Styrofoam
