Anything you can do to get the temp back up to 100F should be okay. I've heard of people putting heat lamps on their bators to get the temp back up. If the temp isn't going above 95, it's most likely the thermostat has gone bonkers.
never thought of that have the lamp for the brooder will give that a try, don't have pebbles so rolled dry watch clothes in any empty space inside and a blanket around the outside, will get pebbles when son gets home

I,just came to check temp and humidity.and when I bent down by the incubator I swear I heard the slightest so of a chirp.no external pips from what I see though

Congratulations! Patience is the key! Don't open it up to check for pips!!! I keep hearing chirping, but I realize it's just the babies in the other room....

afternoon everyone, got a few questions hopefully sally or someone can help with as didn't see a reply way back

I finally got first candle done on at almost day 7, we had one temp spike of 102 on day 5 and since then have not been able to get the incubator to get back up to normal, it's running 93-95 even upping the temp humidity is staying between 27 and 37 without adding anything at this point. cannot get new bator done until Friday, using LG 9300 digital with fan. IS there anything else I could do temporarily or are they going to be fine just slower growing?

results of candle were:
6 questionable
1 clear
16 looking good
not understanding why temps wont raise up for you, agree with everything the others suggested. how cold is the room? your thermometers were calibrated?

Thanks Chaos,

next planned candle is day 15 when I quit using the egg turner.

I've decided the LG is just way to evil, thinks I don't need to sleep ever lol
they are evil thats why!!!

The little boy that was stuck has spraddled legs. So I'm reading about poultry podiatry and making little braces out of VetRap while I wait for him to dry off. Helped the other two a little bit, then stopped again when blood vessels apparent. I'll try again in a couple hours. Last one is certainly dead.

Your did great, and I still think that bator has issues! I dont like that the three of you with this same bator have so many mals... something is not right... the turning or amount of turning or something is off! are you sure that try sits level inside the bator? just strange!!!

If you hear chirps, it means at least one chick has internally pipped. All the waiting is about to pay of, Seth! They should be hatching in a day or two... might even start today!!!

They will definitely help stabilize temps by reducing the rate of heat loss, but it won't matter if the temp in the bator never gets about 95F. 93-95 is too low for normal incubation. The chicks will be developing at a far slower rate than what's acceptable. Even .5F can delay hatching by a day or two. How many days will it add if it's 5F or more lower??? I don't think a chick can hatch and be healthy after being cooped up in it's shell for a month. I just don't see it happening...
True. Also late hatchers seem to fail to thrive alot.

My mal positioned stopped thanks to recomendation of stopping egg turner with the LG at day 14-15, went from 9 out of ten down to 1-10

They were calibrated and holding steady when I set room tem was down to 65 so upped it back up to 75 ,
