So "Batman" (so named by niece, will become "Batgirl" if female) has a bit of umbilicus that was still attached that he kicked up onto his back at some point. Will be fun washing off in the next couple of days...

Also, he was 9 hrs into day 21 for external pip, and a few hours short of day 22 complete hatch. Quite probably thrown off by the power outage. At least he's a survivor! Right?

Also, with this chick I'm a bit concerned with a possible slipped tendon/hock issue...

As he's bumbling around the bator I noticed one of his legs is positioned farther back, almost like he's walking on his toes, but not curled toes, his toes are flat, just the leg is farther back?? It's odd and I don't think I can possibly get a good picture until we take him out of the bator in the next few days.

you betcha!!! I thought we would have a lot more issues after hatching with these hatchers trust me!!!
