The Denaguard will be here soon.... I hope I get it before the EHAL, than maybe if I can treat 3 days before set date I'll get some viable eggs.... But the alpha roo has frostbite so maybe not.

Yup

And he has been away from the flock for a bit, I put him inside whenever it goes down below freezing. Then when he goes out he spends his time fighting Bubbles for alpha again instead of showin' off for the girls. And when he does try, he's so tiny he slides right off their back 90% of the time!

So you fight a roo? I just figured that frosting bite was a part of having chickens in a freezing climate. Probably why I'm moving towards birds with a rose comb. Some of my current birds have a touch of it on the tips of there combs but I never did anything for them, nor do I plan on it.

Egg#2 just pipped a few min ago. I think the large brown one is starting to zip but im not sure. It is trying to break the shell more than ive seen it do before now.
