Well today has been fairly successful. Got chicken coop, turkey coop amd brooder all cleaned out. I'm sure all the birds will appreciate it.

stupid dog!!!

I had to fill water in lockdown bator and she walked up and I didnt know had a heavy dog bone toy in her mouth and DROPPED IT INTO THE BATOR ON THE EGGS that are ready to pip!!!

crushed two eggs!!

Oh no!!!!!!

Or put the 'bator up above bone-dropping height

Glad it wasn't worse.

Oh.... I forget which thread I said this on, (Probably mine) but I am pretty sure I now have eggs for the HAL!!
Neighbor said he'd start collecting his bantam eggs for me, and they are fertile.

The best thing? They are OEGB mixes, which I absolutely adore.

One of the chicks I saw that he hatched from his eggs looks like a mini-Jace, only in oreo color scheme!

I can't wait for March 5!!

Same unfortunately. I'm going to treat her for a few days but if it doesn't work, I'll have to cull her. I feel so bad for her though, she doesn't really act any different than any of the others.

I'm sorry to hear that. That really sucks. Did you try stitching it? I've never tried it, but supposedly it's worked in dogs after whelping, with good results. Don't know about birds. All you can do is try what you know and hope for the best.
