Well I scared a chicken tonight. I hope it does not cause her issues. It was dark when I went out to get eggs that I am collecting to hatch. When I reached into a box to feel for eggs I surprised a hen and myself. I felt nothing, but later when I was feeding I went in with a flashlight and she had just laid. I was shocked since everyone else was already roosting. Why would she be so late? I hope I didn't cause problems for later.

Ok...I've gotten really behind. I'm currently on page 185 out of 207. I'm just going to update without catching up. Y'all are way ahead of me. I had 10 babies hatch out of 41 set. All eggs were shipped. The babies are doing great, they are 8 to 10 days old. I currently have 4 eggs in 1 incubator and 6 in another. Those eggs are orpingtons and sussex. I have blue cochin eggs on their way. Yep, I'm hooked

Its seven quantity 10 week old chicks...pretty well feathered but only outside for two days, I bought them from a lady who had them Inside. Its drizzly tonight

I think they will PROBABLY be fine. But, it's different for every chick.

Evening, everyone!

Been a few days since I've been able to get back here to the thread! I cleaned and put away my bators for the winter... Actually was pretty bummed out by that! I won't be setting any more eggs until the Easter HAL, but I did get these 3 from my small set hatched on the 20th and 21st.

Looks like I also need to get my notes updated for @Bubbles12345

Finished my hatch 11/21 will set again for Easter HAL
