Not a whole bunch. Been rather slow today, compared to yesterday. Just go back to where you left off; shouldn't take long at all

Thank you! I took the far screw off, moved the motor, put the trays in the arm, moved the arm into the turner thingy, put the turner thingy back on motor and then motor back into place and screws tightened. Have Bator running now with extra hygrometer testing it now.. I have a second hygrometer but need a battery. Good thing I am testing![]()

NICE!!!! Good luck with your hatch!@Sally Sunshine heres my 16 Dom eggs shipped the Sally Sunshine way. All the air cells look good and no damage to the eggs. I'm gonna let them rest in the 60-65* basement and set saturday morning. Going off the air cells they were just what I ordered fresh and under 2 days old when shipped. Saturday the oldest should be only 7 days old.I get a good hatch.![]()

you think I am obsessive? lmao you dont know me well as far as my own hatchesFor the obsessive (sally), this bluetooth data logging probe is accurate to ±0.1% of the reading. That makes it accurate to 0.1F.

I need some help with my first hatch. It's close to the end of day 21, I have three pips, but two are at the wrong end and opposite side of where they should be, and one seems to be closer to the air cell, but on the wrong side. I candled at day 7,14, and 18. I drew the air cells on the eggshell, I set them down with the largest part of the air cell up, but so far they are pipping wrong. They are peeping and I can see their beaks. One had only chipped the shell and not the membrane, so I used small, sterilized scissors to cut a small opening in the membrane so the chick could breathe. I turned the eggs over onto their sides so that the pip wouldn't be on the bottom of the bator. I have been reading Sally's article about malpositions and what to do in those cases, and I'm waiting to see what happens, if they hatch on their own or not. I am a complete newb and I don't understand why so many are malpositioned? What did I do wrong? Here are some pics. Any advice is appreciated.

I have to agree to not bother killing more embryos, at least eat them to get some use of them.@Sally Sunshine
I got another one of those huge double yolked eggs. Should I use that for the Easter hatch? And try again?
Quote: I have an older Janoel 48 that has a solid gray base, so I can't see in it.Also have the double decker Janoel knock off that I bought to use as a hatcher and NICU.![]()
Doing another hatch experiment in the Janoel... First one was a disaster because I had a hard time maintaining the humidity and none of the eggs lost enough weight.![]()
