I,can't wait till next weekend.Saturday is lockdown for goose egg number one.and Sunday I'm going to a poultry swap at a tractor supply near me.and they also have chicks at the tractor supply now.hope I don't accidentally go in the store.LOL

I accidentally went into our TS and it was Wednesday and luckily they got stock on Thursdays, meaning the chicks were all sold. Actually a good thing for me with my 22 eggs set right now

I'll be waiting.
What? A girl can only drink so much coffee out of an incubator before it gets old having to clean the coffee stains out. Besides, the rattle snakes, penguins, and alligators were all a little too hyper. They hatched in three days, then cleaned the shells out themselves!
Next time try hamster eggs.

It's day 5 on Ayams, day 3 on Mille Fleurs, I don't know how much longer I can stop myself from candling the eggs... I really wanna look!

Quote: I got a call from this guy who kept buying chicks and after a couple of days they were all dying. This happened several times with chicks from different people. Turned out his wife was making extra strength electrolyte solution for them (she thought more was better) and they were dying of salt overload. When we figured it out on the phone he gave them plain water and they drunk like crazy there and then and no more died after that.
Good point!

Gosh, @daxigait , I hadn't thought of this, but you had a lot of different stuff in their water simultaneously - have you tried giving them plain water yet? (With or without Corid.)

That's why I always give people instructions with my chicks, and tell them to call me if they want to change anything in their diets or anything else, especially medical problems. I hate it when people just assume they can do something like that and don't even realize it after all the chicks die.

Sally I've hatched 7 EEs (5 black and 2 blonde). There are four green eggs left, and five honas left. Two honas are pipped. It's just now day 21 so I think my temps were a tad warm.

I always hatch day 20 with clean hatches
Did you get pics yet?

Sorry for the filters. A bulb blew and I could only find a red one to replace it quickly, and then I haven't want to open the bator to replace it. So I filter the red light out.

Here's an update for your list.
12 Ancona eggs (pulled two clear day 7) now have 10
16 Dominique eggs
16 Partridge Chantecler & Partridge Chantecler/Java mix

Total currently in bator 42
