Sally I've hatched 7 EEs (5 black and 2 blonde). There are four green eggs left, and five honas left. Two honas are pipped. It's just now day 21 so I think my temps were a tad warm.

I always hatch day 20 with clean hatches Did you get pics yet? Congrats on the babies! praying for the rest!!

My update is 41 eggs the farm chick variety of partridge Cochin rooster mating with rir hens and barred rock hens starting at 9pm tonight.

I've been putting pics at granny's. But I'll put some here!! Sorry for the filters. A bulb blew and I could only find a red one to replace it quickly, and then I haven't want to open the bator to replace it. So I filter the red light out.

shell looks a bit dry? or normal?

By scarf? I put scarves over the sides of the bator if it gets a tiny bit cold so I don't have to monkey with the thermostat control, and it dont block vents like a blanket would. 1 scarf raises it aproximatly .5 of a degree... But I don't wanna wake up to it at 103 if it is just slow to warm up... -Banti

Sally, we're not sure. That chick had trouble getting out. Granny thought it looked sticky. The egg was in a weird position; I quick turned her on her side and she pushed right out. This one and the one before seemed weaker than others?

did you lower temps during lockdown?

LOWERING TEMPS lockdown IS NOT NECESSARY but is said to AID THE HATCHING PROCESS post #2898

@Sally Sunshine Ducklings are here!! This was a pic my husband sent me at work. Had 1 hatch right when I was getting ready for work, a second hatch as I ran out the door. We are now up to 6: 4 girls 2 boys, with another on the way! One was DIS. It had zipped half way then stopped but was moving when I saw it, and of course I had to leave so I had my husband assist it, and it was dead, but came easily out of the shell. No idea what happened and it was a girl

One goose egg had pipped last night. Nothing from the other 2 yet
