I have 3 pips this morning and 26 eggs just sitting there... Taunting me! These Marans drive me CRAZY I should have picked an easier breed lol. I hope it will be better with fresh eggs rather than shipped.

Me too! I had a pip at midnight, and it was chirping. Then woke up to a loud chirping, thought it was zipping. Nope, Now, here is why you keep questionables!

I have a pretty large EE in there that I was pretty darn sure was no good. I candled that thing and candled that thing trying to figure out whether I wanted to keep it. It had a very small amount of clear spot in the bottom, but, it had a dark dark color all along the bottom, for a week now. Then thought, oh well, there's the questionable thought. Put it in. It was pipped this morning making the loud noise that I thought was the other one zipping.
I have one that is pipped right smack dab in the middle of the egg. Oh brother. I'm with ya, these marans eggs...and OE's!

And oh yes, these weren't shipped. They did come a long ways in a car though. Like an hr. and a half drive.
