What does the "Great Northwest" have going for it, other than you (which is certainly a plus) ?
Sasquatch mountains, green year round.... And lots of rain.

can you get a better picture of the white spot? It needs to look like a bull's-eye. There is a whole thread about identifying fertile eggs. Can anyone tell me if this is a fertile egg?![]()
I went into lockdown last night. All six are still going so I hoping for the best. I have six more eggs about 10 days behind that I locked up in a strawberry plastic case. They will have to deal with minimal turning the next few days. I was able to get the humidity up to about 70% as of this morning but I'll have to see where it stabilizes at....now the waiting!
I have QUAIL! 13 so far. They started from one side of the bator and seem to be progressing to the other side where I had to put in an emergency light bulb. Apparently it is not as hot as the other one. I will have to get a replacement for it. The fountain fogger is doing an excellent job and not running through the water like I thought it would. I only added a about a cup of water to the pot. The thirteen are bopping around. Silly me forgot to put paper towels down so that they wouldn't slip slide. So I pulled the fogger up on the river stones to make put out more fog while I placed paper towels underneath the chicks. It held me at 55% even with the lid partially open. I use a blanket on the bator too so I am under the blanket bent over like some doing toe touches reaching in the cabinet bator.
Ms,SALLY SUNSHINE
Awesome thank you!!@Sally Sunshine My eggs have more CAM problems..... I'm going to build a new turner, or switch to manual turning or something.....
I did find this neat article you may be interested in though as to WHY eggs that don't develop a CAM that reaches the bottom of the egg don't do well.

My eggs arrived a day early!!!!!!!!!!
All 18 look to be in great shape, nice and clean. The box said LIVE FISH, I got a few strange looks from the family lol. I can't believe how small they are!!! So cute! So do I just leave them set for awhile? Do I leave them level or tilt them?
Hi all! How's everyone? I can't keep up. I haven't been able to keep up with the Easter HAL either.![]()
I have 5 of the shipped porcelain d'Uccles going into lockdown todayfor Saturday hatch.![]()
From these....really messy air cells.
Also have another batch that was shipped and in better shape in the mind reader bator. I did find out that by trying to keep eggs upright in cartons in the mind reader, I messed up the air circulation and the temps inside were all over the place. So I may have messed them up the first week, though most are still developing. I ended up making plastic mesh baskets to hold them that wouldn't restrict air movement and it seems stabilized in there now.
Missing everyone!Good luck to all your eggs!![]()
Well, first time I have gotten this far.... So yes.....

I sowwy I screwed up the notes somehow!! booooo
ADDICTION!!!!!I got more eggs....I don't know why I keep doing this...
For some reason they addressed the box to a post office (not mine), rather than to the address I gave them. Since they went to the post office on the other side of town, which is the MAIN post office, they got WAY more jostling and handling than they would have if they had been shipped to my smaller post office. Never mind the frustration of getting a call that says, we have your eggs, then us going to our post office and having them spend 20 minutes looking for them. Finally checking the tracking number and telling us they were at the OTHER post office in town. Fortunately I have a nice mother who always runs my errands for me. She is the one that went to the first post office, and then to the second. I haven't heard what condition the box is in, but it's frustrating. If they had been addressed to ME, my post office would have called me at 8 this morning and had me pick them up out back. Instead they went to the post office that waited until noon to call me (and not tell me they were at the wrong post office - since they just had my name, and number, no address, they didn't know it didn't belong there.
Congratulations to all the hatching going on!!!

Its been awfully quiet on all the threads lately. I would think we would have a ton of babies popping out with the EHAL. Hope you all have your noses pressed to the glass of your bators!!!
