If it's not labeled for using with poultry, it would be considered off label usage.

That COULD be why the FDA says no eating the eggs, even though they are perfectly safe.
Big difference between banned for use and off label. As far as I know, there's only one wormer approved for use in laying hens, it's hygromycin b. Even Wazine is not approved for laying hens. None of the wormers are on the list of banned drugs and it's perfectly fine to eat the eggs after a certin amount of time.![]()

Yes, I understand the difference between off label and banned for use. What I don't understand is why Vet told Whites theFDA says eggs from the chickens can't be eaten, they are now unnamed pets? The only reason I could think of is the off label use.
Who knows why, maybe they don't fully understand the difference?
