Do you have a wooden skewer or chopstick that will fit through a vent hole where you might be able to get it turned around? If it's stuck in the wire, you will have to go in.

have I told you this before. when I change the wiper blades on my truck or car . I save the little stainless steel stiffing rod from all of them . I use them for everything you can think of. the edges aren't sharp you can bend a little hook on the end . they go right in vent holes . I roll eggs over with them .even enlarge pip holes . dip them in alcohol. and play in the bator . they work great for pulling hair out of bathtub drains . I'm rambling again

he may just be weak? when they first hatch they are not able to get around. if you really think he is in distress grab him out. toss a warm damp paper towel in at the same time, just not on any eggs.
