I haven't used it yet, but will very, very soon! Yes, I'll have to manually turn the birds, but I'm not going to complain... I only have $20 invested in it.

A friend has a tub plucker that does two chickens at a time. She let me borrow it for a processing class I did here. It was such a labor saver. I still made each person pluck one by hand so they would realize how much work the machine saved.

I would love to have one of those, but I can't justify the cost with my low production system. I have 6 BR cockerels ready to harvest, and probably no more for the rest of this year.

I've considered the drill kind. Let me know what you think of it.

My BR roos turn 16 weeks old tomorrow, so it may get tested as soon as tomorrow. I'll be sure to let you know. If I had it to do over, and I may do it yet, I'd make a longer drum to cover more area at a time.
