Hello... My chickens were killed by a dog that got on my property so to save the eggs I put them in an incubator that had eggs in them for 15 days so I write plus 15 in them it's probably 10,, the problem is they will all hatch at different times so I will have to keep opening the incubator is this a massive problem
It's not a massive problem if there are none getting ready to pip when you pull the others.

I'm,freaking out.
I suggest we all refrain from the urge to respond to these types of posts.

Hard night on the Roo's here. 15 cockerels soaking in an iced salt water cooler. Soak for a couple of days, rinse, vacuum seal and freeze.

Brit and I are pretty efficient chicken killer plucker cleaning machines. Start to finish and cleaned up in under an hour.
Good for you. All the processing around here from heating water, killing, plucking, evisceration, cleanup etc. is on one person - that would be moi.
I dread it because it takes so long. I usually only end up doing 2 or 3 at a time.

What I do when I need to do a do is work up a do so I can go do with a do on a do while I'm taking a do. Would you like fries with that?

What do I do,there.rocking peeping but not even a pip
Sit on your hands, go see a movie, cut the grass, go fishing, get a job.

Should I poke a pip hole
Why in the world would you do that? If it were a good idea, which it isn't, how would you know where to put it. You don't know where the beak is.

Aaaa finely I got it! This is the meaninig of IP number! = Iphon Pervrert number.....

I don't know why I keep my three German shepherds right now they are lucky I am not turning them into shish kabobs ... They ended my hatch early while out of the living room for 5 minutes they got into the incubator I was absolutely horrified when I returned to see the mess ... Out they went and the salvage process started up somehow 12 have survived one is touch and go right now .... The carpet is all cleaned up but I lost 14 babies today almost killed my shepherds at least I am relatively level headed. A little bummed out tho.
I still say dogs and chickens don't mix.

Yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay.it's a white one with a white beack this time.
Ha ha ha!!! You showed your hand. Some impatient busy body picked away at shell. That's not how they look when they hatch by themselves.
And what is a white beack?

HELP ASAP, it came out and jerked away from the eggs and blood leaked out its naval
That's cause you tried to kill it since you can't wait for nature to take its course. It's amazing to me you have any live animals.

Morning all. Had another hatch last night. I try to give it 24 hrs with no change after the first one hatches before I call it. Not sure how to get my hatches closer together but these 3-4 day hatches are getting old. These were all my eggs of the same breed so I was hoping maybe I had taken most of the variables out. Maybe Aprils hatch will be closer.

X2 I was hoping for the same with mine. All my eggs this time as well. Started on Friday ended yesterday. I think it's just the way it is.

My easter hatch is over it looks like and I now have 67 new babies! 5 surprise lavender ameraucanas will get to stay and replace some of my blacks, 6 new silkies out of 9 shipped eggs, and some mottled black, silver dapple, and 1 royal palm turkeys, courtesy of @dheltzel. The rest are black ameraucanas, Oliver eggers, and EEs that will find new homes :)

cool, what are they? Do you have any other breeds?
There are 14 Dominiques, 11 Partridge Chantecler and Partridge Chantecler Mixes and 2 Ancona Ducklings

Morning Chaos. How's the chicks in the basement doing. Mine are in the barn under heat plate with light on a timer
They're all still alive. They'll get to live the basement life for a week or so than will get kicked out to the garage brooder.
