@Sally Sunshine oh! I gotcha now, the 100 is reading from the resting on the eggs. So I need to lower it just a little and adjust the temps, but either way I need to bring it up 2 degrees? Possibly more if according to the temp I get when I lower the thermometer to where the embryos are developing?

NOW YOUR GETTING IT!!!

Hers didnt make it because they didnt grow in the right time frame they had because of low temp loss in the evenings. TEMPS are SO IMPORTANT!!! NO FLUXS SPOT ON TEMPS... READ AND RE READ THAT AGAIN... GET IT SPOT ON...

I wish you would have a fan in the bator, without one, you are sure to have hot and cold spots as well, be sure to rotate eggs as often as possible in your bators when you dont have a fan, and even IF you have a fan, and if you have a turner, that turner motor does put out heat, switch that egg daily!


and you understand humidity right?
 
My mystery egg didn't start. :( And, two others didn't start. These are from the same friend I got them from last time..her brown eggs never start, but, I thought I would give it a try since it was in the carton she gave me. She needs a big boy out there. That little bantam silkie isn't able to get those big girls, although, sure is funny to watch him chase that turkey of hers around. lol...only because he doesn't like it. I think he thinks, he's protecting his girls from this monster. I've never seen a turkey this tall. Anyway, my friend puts a stop to it if he keeps chasing, then he stands in a corner and starts crowing, looking right at my friend. :p

To this. Went ahead and cut the yellow ones down because I guess we are in for a big
snowfall tonight/tomorrow.


Soo, I saved a few and put them in a jar, and put them on the table. They probably won't
last long, but they are cute for now.
