I don't want to be depressed for my birthday. It starts in an hour and I have to run by the college to pick up my class handouts for my chicken class Saturday.

Our hatched chicks that are 3 and 4 days old got moved outside into their dog kennel brooder in the run with a heat pad cave. Everyone is doing well and wing feathers are developing fast.

@ChickenCanoe was right, Duchess got out again but I noticed before sundown and went looking. Spied a white-speckled black patch under the hedge. Secret nest indeed, looked to be several days worth of eggs! She probably was getting out regularly and laying them, then sneaking back in.

Well I bought another incubator today, getting it prepped to fill it up once it is stable. Will be putting 5 turkey eggs and the rest chicken eggs. Wish I knew someone around my area with duck eggs to add just for the heck of it.
