@Chaos18

I ain't believing this crap.!!!!!
After spending 3 days getting the mower to start, I throw a drive belt.
Got a new belt, fought 2 hours getting the @#$% thing on
Now the freaking engine won't start again...NOTHING...just like before.

Buying a new battery after supper, just in case the small engine mech coming tomorrow says the one I have is shorted.
I'm sorry you are having so much trouble!! It's sounding more and more like a goat or two would be less stress. Do you know anyone that will let you borrow some?

I gave up on goats years ago; couldn't repair fences fast enough to keep them contained. Tried tying them to tires; that just slowed them down & made them stronger. Tried staking them out, but they still managed to get in trouble; one even choked herself to death. Other than chickens, I'm done with animals. Don't even keep a house dog anymore. Livestock just ties you down, having to depend on someone to take care of them if you go away.

Ok, I picked up both boxes. The PO could offer no explanation on why. The guy is really nice there and he said there really is no recourse, since it's not lost, or damaged. But the shipper needs to file

Both boxes went through Kent, WA. The second box has half dark eggs I can't see in, and have light colored. The air cells are SERIOUSLY saddled and/ or ruptured. The AL box had dark eggs. There was one I could clearly see the air cell floating freely. So, at least 1 detached A/C. The rest, I need to wait until night time. I just don't have a dark enough room to candle these dark eggs.

I will give them all a chance - let's see what happens!!
Sorry you went through this. Hoping for the best.

Oh no, what the heck.

Yes, just from a claim standpoint.  I was thinking that this box traveled an extra 3600 miles, which means either extra bouncing around in a truck, or extra pressure/depressurization problems because of air travel,  That can't be good for eggs.  Not a big deal for books, or clothing.  I already knew if there was no visible damage, I would have nothing to claim.  If the eggs had broken and oozed, it would allow for us to claim damages.

Turns out the box was only slightly dented, and no eggs were cracked that I can tell.  One egg was wet, not sticky - I candled it and don't see any cracks.  Not sure why it was wet.

I am going to think positive from now on and hope for the best!!
makes sense to me

That is the reason I have always preferred cats and fish to dogs. You can leave out a big bowl of food, and bowls of water (or as they prefer, the toilet seat up), and leave for up to a week. For my fish, I have an automatic feeder I use when we leave. My dog would eat a weeks worth of food in one sitting. Never mind having to go outside 3 or more times a day.

But, now that my folks live with me, I have built in animal watchers. I know that my mom is at her absolute limit of what she will watch. I think my dad wouldn't mind a goat or a pig. I would not want anything that would need milking! I have no desire to get up that early....When the weeds get really tall, I keep thinking I'd like to borrow a couple goats for a few hours. But, we only get the weeds once or twice a year, so I can't justify owning a goat....but I'm still thinking about a miniature pig.
