Thanks I will do that. Any advice on the light? I candled a white chicken egg and could barely make out the air pocket and I think I could see the edge of the yolk.

I bought a MagicFly 300 lumen. Haven't gotten a dark Marans egg to try it on yet, but it lights up RSL eggs like gangbusters...cheap price on Amazon. Sally uses a super-go-fast light that she swears by, too.
