I dislike 2-piece poles. Not a fan of casting half of the pole into the water!

Been down that road myself. Also broke one hauling a smallish Crappie out from water only a foot lower than I was. Only problem is hauling a one-piece in the trunk of DW's Toyota car; I normally carry them in the bed of my truck.

I've found lots of half poles over the years.

I have a small Nissan coupe. I can get a 1 piece 8' pole in there and be able to close all the doors and roll all the windows up. Also 8' dimensional lumber. Any bigger and it has to go up through the sunroof. I also have the front passenger seat removed though (for the dogs).
