Duckling let me know yesterday that this cold (allergies or whatever) has moved to her ears. She is still asleep, but keeps crying out. I will have to leave in a hurry if she wakes wailing (Good grief I feel so bad, I am tearing up!). So here is everyone's coffee and an extra bag if needed.

Only 40? You sure you don't mean 400?

40 don't even qualify as behind; the post count could jump that much in the time it's taken to type this post

I am more interested in how they are talking to us if they haven't even hatched yet!

Good morning.

Cockerels are aggressive and usually tend to be rough with hens. They mellow with age.

The earlier the better. A 2 week old piglet is easy to handle. A 50 pounder is a handful. On occasion we missed one and ended up having to do the job on a 50 pound shoat. It isn't fun. It is much harder on the animal the older they get.
You can do a small piglet by yourself. Lay them on their back between your legs with the head under you. I used a flooring knife sharp as a razor. I can explain in greater detail if you want. We used kerosene to disinfect the area and wound.
I don't know if that's how other people do it but I came up with it by myself with no instruction. I never lost a pig.
I was only about 12 when I did all of our pigs. My dad couldn't stomach it. He'd hold them and turn his head. If I described the scene, he'd start to regurgitate.

Castrated males bring more at market and can't breed with their sisters as they grow.

Why the comma after I? Is it for emphasis? Why no spaces after periods and commas? Why no capitalization leading a sentence?
allow as?
Listen, what you don't understand is that a bird that is setting doesn't need or want to be disturbed. They are in a trance and on a mission. Just because a bird allows one to mess with them, doesn't mean one should. They've been sitting on eggs for millions of years with no help from you. And, believe it or not, they didn't go extinct without your help.
I've never cut a pig (won't have a hog on the place), but I've done a few goat kids. I never cut one, though, I'd band them. I guess you can castrate a pig the same way, can't you?

I moved 10 of yesterday's hatch in with last week's chicks. I had a cat terrorizing us so didn't take many photos.

Cute, ot bad the cat ruined the photo shoot.

Everyone is in lockdown.
Great news ,good luck!
