Who?I am seeing a very good film abaout the life of Woody Guthrie
Hope this is appropriate for this thread:
As I am getting closer to hatch date, I am re-evaluating using a heat lamp in my brooder (I stopped using them in coops a long time ago and not sure why I thought they were safe to use for brooders-anyhow moving along...).
I am seeking input to see if there are any less expensive alternatives to the Brinsea that I can purchase (No time to make a homemade setup)?
I was looking into the Premier Heat Plate and read lots of good things. However, I am looking at possibly 28 chicks and the small unit says it works for 20. The larger wont really fit in my current brooder....and I am crossing my fingers I sell the chicks pretty quickly after hatch.
Any input is appreciated.

Sorry, you were great with coop stuff and yours is neat. I thought you posted there too.Nope sure don't. Sorry, I'm pretty stupid when it come to electronics.
@mlm Mike Ha, great minds. I am glad you could link.
You feed them, you house them, you clean up their never-ending messes, you agonize over them, you doctor them when they're sick, and you get to foot the bill. Think about it... you might as well be their parent...at least you could claim them on your income tax.![]()
After today, it has been established that I am NOT a "dance mom"![]()
We had to drag the kids around for progressional pictures and then to the auditorium for a rehearsal. Actual recital is this weekend. This was AFTER the town kindergarten went over an hour away for the zoo today. I had a screaming, kicking (didn't get a good nap) nearly 20 month old in tow and a dance team of 5 & 6 yr olds. We just got home...I'm a sweaty disaster from chasing him all over...I ate the last brownie and I think I may need a shot of vodka after all that. Stick a fork in me!!!!![]()
Still proud of her...but hoping for something more low key next year...like karate...or NOTHING...![]()
