The "surprise" Brown Leghorns that began to hatch 10 days before expected. The turner was still going. I guess that's what you get when you take eggs from a broody! Thank you @Sueg4332

Short day today on beat and hurting too much to even want to go one today. I did manage to cut two d driveshafts and weld them together to make one usable shaft...... And replaced the wheel bearings on my boat trailer. But the cold and snow was a bit much for me today. The baseball game seems more my bag at the moment.

Just popping in again... which seems to be all I have time for lately. I candled on Thursday, and pulled 10 of the 30 eggs. There are another 4 that look iffy, but I'm going to let them go a little longer. Might get lucky and get a dozen from this batch...

Been working on the new coop most of the day. Finished the floor and started putting up wall studs. I know... not the conventional way of building... but I'm anything but conventional.
