I can't win.
Not wearing a watch doesn't make you irresponsible. Wearing a watch still means that you can get to work on time to me. The first thing I learned when training to be a manager many years ago, was to never hire anyone that didn't wear a watch. I have carried that with me throughout the years, and while I have hired people not wearing a watch, too many times I was sorry. Connection or not, it just worked out that way.

Why can't you win? I always thought a watch was a distraction from work. Hard to get anything done when you're looking at the clock all the time....

Not to mention I worked in the restaurant business for a very long time, and was not allowed to wear one. It would've gotten in the way of proper hand-washing techniques.
