Hi all, new to hatching eggs! Hatched out 9 out of 12 with my first, not from shipped eggs. Doing my first round with shipped eggs this next week, thank goodness for all of this information

That's what a Salmon Faverolle hen looks like? Then my OE may actually be daughter of the SF/Am EE roo...along with the EE pullet that looks more like a salmon Ameraucana! That back door roo must be getting more action than I thought!

I'm here was charging my phone,we have .the vitamin powder u put in a gallon jug but it expired January of this year and have no Gatorade

I WOULD use it anyways,
but that's me, any experts on vitamins???

Homemade Electrolyte Recipe for weak/ill chicks
2 C. Water
2 TBL. Brown Sugar, honey or molasses
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
Mix until all dry ingredients dissolve & Keep refrigerated
You could also use electrolyte drinks Gatorade or Pedialyte, or
3 drops of POLYVISOL (liquid childrens A-B-D vitamins)
Slowly drip along inner edge of lower beak.

NUTRIENT SOLUTIONS
The following solutions can be used as supplements to diets that are deficient in certain amino acids, energy, or vitamins and electrolytes. They are used only as temporary additives and not intended as part of a regular feeding program.

Amino Acid Solution 100 grams (7 fl oz) dl-methionine and 110 grams (6 fl oz) l-lysine HCl dissolved in 50 gallons water -or- 2 grams (.8 tsp) dl-methionine and 2.2 grams (.7 tsp) l-lysine HCl in one gallon of waterOffer the solution free-choice to the birds as an aide to reducing the depressing effects of low-protein diets. Make up a fresh solution daily and offer to birds in clean waterers. All measurements in parentheses () are volumetric measurements while those expressed in grams are weight measurements.
Sucrose Solution 10 ounces of granulated sugar per gallon of waterThis solution may be given as an energy treatment for weak chicks. Offer the solution as the only water source for the first 7-10 days. Clean the drinkers and replace with fresh solution at least once daily. The solution shown above contains eight percent sugar and approximately 2000 kilocalories per gallon.
Vitamin & Electrolyte Solution This solution can be used to reduce the effects of stresses caused by subclinical diseases, transporting, management errors, etc. Dilute a commercial vitamin/electrolyte packet into the prescribed amount of water. Use as the only source of drinking water until the stress problem has been corrected.​

Vitamins will be fine as long as they are not all clumped up and nasty...and as long as they don't contain iron!

WEAK CHICKS, Spraddle legs, ODD legs, ETC.....

There are options of taping chicks legs together, HOWEVER, those are horrible and other chicks pick on them, they are non stop chirping and falling over, pain in the butt period....

If you can put them in a cup that forces the feet into position under them it can work a lot quicker and less stressful for the chicks. Thanks to a tip from BYC member Blarney love that chick! Just dont overheat them in the cup, take them out to feed and water them and give them some exercise and see how they are doing!
