I'm not being mean, CH. If you remember, I suggested you throw all of your eggs away because they probably were not any good, and wait until next week to get the new eggs your hen lays so you can join in on the New Years HAL. You remember that, right? You put eggs in the incubator anyway... so how does that make us mean?
they had live baby's. I was not just gonna throw them away and let them die.

My food may be a little different, but I think you'd approve. Pasties, a legacy from the Cornish miners handed off to the Finnish copper miners in the U.P. Anything on the smoker is right up my alley. Turning deer into delectable sausages. Beef rib roasts gently roasted on a wood fire. Turkeys over a wood fire. Chickens over a wood fire. Steaks over a wood fire. (Yes, there is a definite direction here). A pretty darn good pulled pork, and a decent dry rub rib rack. Fish, any way you like it.

I also brew several beers, make bread and cheese, and can prepare all my food from on foot to on the table.
OMG... you're making me hungry, and I just ate!!! Oh yes... me likey!!!

I wasn't talking about the chicks, CH. I never said anything about throwing away live babies. All I said was to throw away the eggs you have now, and get some new eggs next week. I would never tell anyone to do that to innocent baby chickens...

If the eggs have live babies inside, then I guess it's okay to try to save them. Are you sure there are live babies in the eggs?

Okay, CH. I thought you were just taking the eggs from the hen because she wasn't setting on them. She had been off of them several times, and for long periods of time, which made me think the eggs probably weren't any good. If you are able to see life inside those eggs, and they are still developing, then you are doing the right thing by trying to save them. I'm sorry I was confused about the eggs...
