I could leave them in the carton, but I like to see the egg roll about as it hatches. Plus chicks like to flop-stretch their necks out of the egg as they hatch, and an upright egg they cannot do that because the neck would not be as strong enough to hold up right.

Yes, as the hatch progresses, the eggs start laying down as the hatchers start moving around, but that leaves them in a vertical position until at least late day 20. Like I said, I don't know that it helped, but it didn't hurt

Maybe I will just get me a Brinsea. Seems like everyone swears by those. But then again, I won't get the challenge of making my tiny incubator work for me

Well sally, My incubator only fits 12 eggs, and my friend is giving me a few eggs, So it will already be cutting it pretty close But thank you! My friend Has A frizzle rooster in one of her pens so I might get a chance of frizzle eggs!

Well, for those that really want to see. Here are some photos of my little cute SG that hatched last night. Not alone anymore, fitting right in with the Marans and OE's I just hatched. Cute yellow eyebrows, cute cheeks that remind me of an old man's cheeks, and 5 perfect toes on each foot.

LOL! There is someone on that thread that gets too much drink in them, and chews everyone out. THAT is offensive. You aren't offensive for knowing fowl is food.
And I was under the impression that I was unwelcome in the PA Facebook group.

this I was not aware of....

I am not on that FB group as I am unwanted as well
