Yeah, the SFH are the last batch for me while living with my in-laws. Got the stink eye from the last package received LOL. I chalk it up to a couple of things: 1. we are giving between 5 and 10 to one of our friends to replenish her aging chickens. My MIL originally wanted ~4 but changed her mind.  2. I am perfecting technique now, and then we'll move to bigger and better things in our new house (ducks, geese, turkeys, etc). 3. Great learning experience!

I figure I'll take part in the Easter HAL lol!

Awesome, me too with my kEE per chickens and my prize eggs from TJCHICKENS. My in-laws got chickens before I did. But if I lived with them I think they'd not appreciate all the hatching. Hopefully I can sell these babes off quickly. I hope you get 9 chickies in a few days.

your temps too low???  did you candle?

I they were sitting at 99-100 the whole time but for a couple of drops when it was pretty cold in the house. The lowest I saw was 96 but the heater would kick on & it would level out back up to 100. They were moving in there up to Sunday night. The air cells had gotten nice & level & we're actually round mostly & not saddled. Maybe it's just too cold for such a tiny bagel bator to keep up.

I have left them cooking still. I decided I hate myself if they got up to lock down & died but I'd be livid at myself if I quit on them & they were viable but late hatchers...I think I just am frustrated.

An egg just woke me up peeping! No external pip yet, but that is one vocal wiggly egg! It's like it knew my alarm was about to go off!

God morning everyone! TGIF!!! Just caught up on the 120 or so posts I was behind on, now it's off to work for one more day! Hope everyone ha a great day! Will be sitting my eggs for the HAL after work, but they are silkies and the six hour delay shouldn't bother them as they always seem to hatch early for me. Except the two stinkers still in the hatcher from the last go round.
