I dunno if it's been tried with ducklings, but don't put new hatched under one directly out in the coop... keep them inside and closely monitored until they are comfortable going in and out and active... I know someone who tried it with chicks and lost a bunch due to them not understanding where 'Mama' was...

oooo noooo, so sad. My chicks spent most of their time on top of it but I did notice they went under some at night. These will stay inside as long as possible
