No, they're regular collars, usually made of leather or nylon when I used them. They have a receiver that's triggered by the dog's barking, which, in turn, initiates a harmless electrical stimulation to the neck, through two metal studs. After the dog gets "buzzed" a few times, he associates the barking with the unpleasant shock, and quits the nuisance barking. Same principal as the underground invisible fence to keeps dogs in a specified area.what are they just velcro ?
