Oh @Bejammie I'm so sad for your chickie! If it were me I would try to save it, you'll never know it's chances for survival if you don't try. If it doesn't make it it's not your fault. If the heat spike did it there could be more chicks like this so I would at least use this little one to practice in case more come out.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong....but waffling won't help....I saw the chicks that made it....I had a one on six chance of surviving my BMT....here I am...if she does nothing chick will die....that's all....

Question... Do any of you clean your eggs before incubating them? I ask because I found a nest of very dirty Muscovy eggs and was thinking about trying to hatch them.
