I did add water, but it was hotter water, up to par with the usual temp of the water in the incubators. It's an analog, that I can already tell is 4 degrees off.

FI hard to control humidity in I run mine dry . loud pop bad short circuit should be black burn some where don't worry about that now worry about the eggs

I'm only gonna use it until I get my IncuView fixed. I have three humidity gauges, all doing great right now.

watch the humidity bad to run high you north south cal. it will get away from you that Is the main problem do you have another hygrometer in the incubator? analog sucks always wrong

awesome sounds like mom saved the day they are not so bad in a completely controlled environment they work pretty good for a cheap bator.so close watch temp really sounds like your doing good . I always have one to back up to just for things like this . you can lose a lot of eggs .may think about keeping it. It will take a while to fix the other one. good luck and Merry Christmas .and it will be OK. I have Christmas stuff to do before Grandchildren come today .
