I put the last 5 eggs under a second broodie last night they were cold all the way through and I did not expect anything.
I check on her and found this
Ok scooped up the freezing Chick who was still wet from hatching and blew on her. she peeped.
I ran in the house she is warm and moving now The Broodie moved the eggs off her to the back of the nest box and just let her be alone in the 40 deg weather.
I candled real quickly and there is another of the eggs chirping. Is there some way to get a box cooler or something to temp and humidity to bring the eggs in to hatch or should I just keep checking every half hour?
I am sorry I know this is the incubating thread and my botched broodie is alot of off topic.![]()

First off....nothing about this is off topic!

I would leave them under the hen and take them as they hatch. As long as she is sitting tight, you cannot possibly duplicate that. Don't disturb her too much, but keep checking that she hasn't kicked someone out. Maybe those cold eggs have a chance and she knows it. Birds can hear life in the eggs. Other than the one that's chirping, did you see anything in the others when you did your quick candle?
