I love your guardian pup!!  Cute chicks!!!  I use red lights on my brooders....they are annoying.

They are annoying to the chicks, as they're always exposed to the glaring light, not to mention expensive to operate or the fire hazard aspect. If you ever try a heat plate, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. It's amazing how calm and quiet chicks are with these heaters. 

Please don't bring this issue up! It has a really bad history! Doesn't it Kathy?

I bought a huge bag and put it everywhere... It did nothing to prevent lice and did not treat lice when I covered the birds with it.

Kathy, I'm curious... did you ever get your hands on some of the pour on to 'test' with? I seem to remember you saying that you did it with the injectable, right?
