I put garden lime down on the floor, and a fine sprinklin of preth dust and then shavings....it helps with spiders makin webs too, hate them all covered up with chicken dander... grosses me out! and I do the ivermectin pour on and ON a schedule. I have seen this stuff at a friends house, NEVER EVER EVER want it either. I use it and safeguard on my dogs too, alternating injectable oral and pour on. prevents all with the fenben heartworm including. But its not safe on some types of dogs... its the secret meds that no Vet wants you to know![]()
Do you know where you can get the heating pads? I'd like to maybe get one. They are annoying to the chicks, as they're always exposed to the glaring light, not to mention expensive to operate or the fire hazard aspect. If you ever try a heat plate, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. It's amazing how calm and quiet chicks are with these heaters.
Whats up Sal? HDYF?
I never ever want to crack an egg and see this.... I would have a hissy fit!!We're all different. I don't worm on a schedule. In fact, in my life I've only wormed 4 chickens.
I don't use DE in dust baths. Mine are wood ashes, sand, a bit of soil and ag lime.

Well I'm heading outside to do some prep to waterproof my coop a little better. We are supposed to get a pretty big rainstorm tomorrow. Biggest one we've seen the past few years. I hope it does rain - we need it!!!
Thats it paddler, I am comin to twist your arm behind your back! That is extremely unusual.
Would be a problem.
I'm still not worming unless I know they have a severe worm infestation and what kind.
