I can see some folks point. If it wasn't for the facial hair, I don't think I'd let you work on my appliances either!!!

Just kidding, but yeah... you don't look 28. Must be nice to look younger than your age. I wouldn't know...

The bigger one is the one I posted the other night.
That looks better than @Ur-ur-ur-urrr 's, minus the legs

My DW works with special needs kids as well. she has the patience of a saint, I would probably back hand a few of them after the first twenty minutes. I don't know where they get the patience, but they do seem to have a special connection with those kids.
My daughter does the same... and I would do the same (as you). It takes a special breed to deal with kids like that. Kudos to those that can and do!!!

[CONTENTEMBED=/t/1046313/incubating-w-friends-come-hatch-learn-chat-meet-new-friends/27760#post_16342490 layout=inline]I still say setting duck uprights is a no no  but thats me[/CONTENTEMBED]

I did an experiment with my Janoel. Had no problem with my 28 day duck eggs upright, all of them hatched, but not one of the 35 day eggs managed to pip, though I think they would have if I had managed my humidify better.

-Kathy

not one pip ?  what do you mean?

All Muscovy eggs died late term. Looks like humidity was too high for them.

-Kathy

and the cam reached the bottom of the egg on all of them?    that sucks kath so many...    I still say gentle sand and wash sterlize and then sterilized heat dips once a day instead of misting.   I need ducks again to keep praticing, I miss all the silkie ducks I had

I just put them in an turned it on... did nothing to them. This time I cleaned them and am running the humidity at 35-40%, but they're in the RCOM this time, not the Janoel.

-Kathy

I would have gone lower in humidity but thats not knowing what you know.   do you have alot of goop at the end sometimes, stuck and sometimes that yellow goop too?

Lower than 35-40%? Gotta be honest, I don't know jack, so any advice is welcome. The Janoel was hard to regulate, bu I guess it was 45-50% most of the time, which was clearly to high given the amount of water in the deceased eggs. 28 day ducks did fine.
