Quote: not one pip ? what do you mean?
All Muscovy eggs died late term. Looks like humidity was too high for them.
-Kathy and the cam reached the bottom of the egg on all of them? that sucks kath so many... I still say gentle sand and wash sterlize and then sterilized heat dips once a day instead of misting. I need ducks again to keep praticing, I miss all the silkie ducks I had I just put them in an turned it on... did nothing to them. This time I cleaned them and am running the humidity at 35-40%, but they're in the RCOM this time, not the Janoel.

I would have gone lower in humidity but thats not knowing what you know. do you have alot of goop at the end sometimes, stuck and sometimes that yellow goop too?
Lower than 35-40%? Gotta be honest, I don't know jack, so any advice is welcome. The Janoel was hard to regulate, bu I guess it was 45-50% most of the time, which was clearly to high given the amount of water in the deceased eggs. 28 day ducks did fine.

Don't know this, but you had asked about the goats absorption of colostrum earlier. Yes, ruminants have a shorter window than customary care, I'll call it. I don't have the numbers right in front of me. The old, and much used method, is to milk out and freeze day 1, day 2, and day 3 to use in that order for emergencies. Although, it might be ok for nutritions, not much for immunity, Limited funds go to goat research. What we do know is they are closer to deer than sheep.
