It's a pain. One complaint and my chickens have to go, but I'd get to keep my conures/parrots(very noisy). Makes no sense really. I wonder what it would take to get chickens reclassified. Many of us consider them pets-and that's what they are. My serama bantams certainly are not for eggs and meat. I wonder how much meat this pullet would provide?
in my "neighborhood" if you don't think, fast ,sharp and 3 steps ahead you will be eaten alive!!
Another thought, that you probably won't like (I sure wouldn't), but you could remove any roosters while your variance app is being processed. The only noise I hear is from my rooster. But then, if you've had no neighbor complaints....
