Does the cold make them cranky?
NM lost A LOT of dairy cattle in the surprise blizzard.  They're thinking upward of 10,000 head, but they'll not get an accurate count until after the thaw.  In the meantime the milkers are dealing with diminished production due to frostbite.   Sad, sad, sad....

It's just when they get a hair you know where
They walk to the milk in stand most all the time with no direction

Sometimes one or two will want to walk off, and there's fun like gettin em wrangled back to the stand at 4 am.
They have no idea they're in the city, ain't no where's to go

I heard about that, I wonder how beef prices will react.
We are getting about 26 gallons a day form 6 cows, milked twice a day for those who don't know

Supposed to be close to 60* today, cold front tonite. So I will utilize my time wisely outside. I know I've got a load of lumber to get off the gooseneck so that's a #1 plan for this morning. We'll see what the rest of the day brings. Should have babies start pipping later today.
