Good morning, all!

The sun is shining, temps are due to be above freezing for a couple of days, eggs are in the bator, and my Blue Copper Marans girls have started laying! Yay!

We got 5 eggs from them over the past couple of very cold days and they are fertile!! Im going to try to be patient and give them some time to produce a little bigger eggs before I hatch some.

We got 5 eggs from them over the past couple of very cold days and they are fertile!! Im going to try to be patient and give them some time to produce a little bigger eggs before I hatch some.

If I hatch pullet eggs, I wait about 2 weeks after they start laying. I've never had a problem hatching them but I know a lot of people say otherwise.

Supposed to be close to 60* today, cold front tonite. So I will utilize my time wisely outside. I know I've got a load of lumber to get off the gooseneck so that's a #1 plan for this morning. We'll see what the rest of the day brings. Should have babies start pipping later today.
