Care if I jump in? I'm seeing a lot of familiar names in here and I've always got eggs going in the incubator lol

Hiya, Bubbles!!!Thought i'd chime in- I have BSL hens and have been more than thrilled with them! Very good layers, and all of mine lay large eggs. Each of them have their own egg color, (varying shades of brown) and one lays an egg that maybe could almost pass as a BCM. They have a beautiful sheen on their feathers, and are not flighty. They are one of the calmest breeds I have and enjoy attention. They will also do ANYTHING for food, so if you happened to want to teach them some tricks, i'm sure they would learn quick!![]()
They seemed to have learned what the treat container looks like real fast....![]()

I just got a line on a really nice looking BCM rooster that's said to be very calm & friendly;under a year old & proven. Chaos put me in touch with the lady, but, unfortunately, she's almost 3 hours north of me, in Patton, PA; not a trip I care to make this time of year. If anyone's interested, PM her...@Auroradream26
I got 'er...thanksIt took three posts to make me grin, and you didn't even say anything. Something very wrong with me!
Look in the middle of the Pennsylvania map. It is right by Altoona. If you see Clearfield or State College, you aren't too far off.

Thank you very much for that info! I figured they'd be comparable to RSL, since they both come from good laying hens. I really like the looks of the BSL, also. Shoot... if/when I get my HRIR, I may also get some RIW and make both RSL and BLS!!!![]()
I have the Barred Rocks... so now all I lack is RIR and RIW.![]()
