Yep. I'm gonna get feeding/bedding/watering done, go to the Co-op and then call it a day until evening chores. We are due to start calving here in the next week or so too.

Poultry dust containing permethrin is what I use most, but I also use 5% Sevin powder. Ivermectin will_not_treat poultry lice. Search the BYC site for posts by Dawg53 for lice treatments.

I read somewhere-probably here, 'cause I rarely leave here- that Sevin should not be used for chickens. No idea who or why; just FYI
